Did you watch the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards last night? Wow, again the fabulous ladies of TV and Cinema did not disappoint. One of our faves Emily Blunt looked aglow, per usual, thanks in part to her incredibly talented makeup artist Jenn Streicher and Prtty Peaushun Medium. Emily was also a nominee for lead actress in a comedy or musical for her role in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, congrats to you Emily!

Only Her Makeup Artist Knows For Sure!
Yeah, award season has officially kicked off and we couldn't more excited. There were so many lovely glowing ladies gracing the red carpet last night at the 18th Annual Critics' Choice Awards. These actors, however, did stand out to us as having an amazing, healthy glow about them and while we can't say for sure, we like to think it's because of Prtty Peaushun. What do you think?

Feeling Lucky to be included in this Lucky Community!
Kelsey Nicole, contributor to Lucky Magazine Community and blogger, wrote this lovely piece about switching over to natural products for her skin care needs. Of course she had to include Prtty Peaushun!! Our lotion is made from 92% RAW natural ingredients. Read about all the amazing products she is resolved to trying this year!
After becoming more educated about the vast amount of untested chemicals I was putting myself in contact with everyday, I began to make small changes in my daily routine and was incredibly happy with the results. This year, my goal is to do more. After a little more experimenting, I am planning to dedicate a entire post or series comparing my former daily routine to my new, natural and organic routine. Here are some green products I would love to try this year:

My third and final goal for 2013 is to use more natural beauty
products. What do I mean by natural? I mean products without parabens,
sulfates, synthetic materials, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs,
formaldehyde, triclosan, DPD, the list goes on and on.
Last year I read, No More Dirty Looks by Siobhan O'Connor and Alexandra Spunt, and became MUCH more aware of the chemicals in the products I was using on my skin. It is unbelievable how many untested chemicals are floating around in the products we put in contact with our skin everyday (hair care included!).
I often go back to the book, No Dirty Looks, to reread sections and refresh my memory. After reading the book on my Kindle I actually bought it a second time in the paperback version so I flip through it easier (nerd alert!). Another resource I use often is the Skin Deep Cosmetics Database where you can search through over 78,000 products to see how your favorite ones score in terms of safety.

Resolutions in 140 characters or less from Business Week
"Brevity may be the soul of wit, but thanks to the limitations of
twitter, it is also the soul of sound advice!" ~ Bethany Karlyn
Looking for some sound advice for 2013? Business Week found some for you!
We asked several prominent business leaders and management consultants to use a tweet to suggest one resolution you should make to enhance your life and your career in 2013. Here’s what they had to say in 140 characters or fewer:
Please remember to be polite to each other in 2013. In and out of business, manners go a long way. Thank you.
—Richard Branson, Chief Executive Officer, the Virgin Group
The greatest advice I can give is the greatest advice I’ve been given: be humble. It has changed me and I think about it every day.
—Clay Christensen, Harvard professor and author of “How Will You Measure Your Life?”
Don’t try to be interesting; try to be interested.
—Ping Fu, CEO, Geomagic and author of “Bend, Not Break”
Dedicate 1 hr a week to hosting office hours: open your door, block off your calendar & invite your team to drop in & share.
—Caroline Ghosn, CEO, the Levo League
Stop agonizing about personal decisions & start asking, “What would I tell my best friend to do in this situation?”
—Chip and Dan Heath, authors of “Made to Stick” and “Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work”
Prioritize your tasks by importance & track your time to make sure you’re focused on what matters most.
—Sheena S. Iyengar, Columbia Business School professor
Be courageous enough to take a risk on a new product, service, or business model that’s never been tried before.
—A.G. Lafley, former CEO, Procter & Gamble (PG), and co-author of “Playing To Win: How Strategy Really Works”
Decide to get out of your own way in 2013 by focusing on that 1 experience, mentor or behavior change that will take you to the next level.
—Stephen A. Miles, CEO, the Miles Group
Cut hierarchies by teaching senior managers to ask more questions than they answer & give more power to frontline employees.
—Vineet Nayar, CEO, HCL Technologies
Mean what you say, follow through, and be consistent in sticking to your principles. Don’t try to control people; connect with them. (@DovSeidman)
—Dov Seidman, CEO, LRN and author of “HOW: Why HOW We Do Anything Means Everything”
