RESCU: The Expert Site to Rescu Your Life....and Dare We Say Rescu Your Dull Winter Skin?

By Chloe Schneider

After much patience on our part, the latest Chanel Mademoiselle handbag campaign starring Miss Blake Lively was finally released. Now, news that Katy Perry is signing to ghd has us hot under the collar and not so patiently awaiting yet another campaign launch!
Post Awards season, we’ve been sussing out all the beauty secrets of our favourite celebs so we’ve decided to share one in particular that will have your complexion as flawless as those red carpet beauties.
Katy Perry for ghd
In one of the most amazing combinations of brand, celebrity and photographer we’ve come across recently, beauty leaders ghd have announced that Katy Perry will be their star of their up and coming campaign. What’s more, world famous photographer David LaChapelle is responsible for shooting the campaign.
The Teenage Dream singer kicks off the Australian leg of her tour in Melbourne on the 28th of April this year and said of the news on ghd, “I’m so excited to be working with ghd, especially using their tools on my California Dreams tour to get me stage ready. ghd products have a reputation of being the best products in the biz, and I like being associate with that. I’m very excited to reveal the styles I did with legendary David LaChapelle in the upcoming ghd campaign. Keep your eyes peeled for it! We're very excited too, Katy, and believe us when we say our eyes will be peeled!

Blake Lively for Chanel Mademoiselle Handbag Line
After what feels like an eternity, Blake Lively’s full campaign for the Chanel Mademoiselle handbag line has been released and it is every bit as glamorous and sophisticated as we thought it would be. Lively looks incredible with kohl lined eyes, her signature blonde mane beautifully tousled and the latest ‘it’ nail polish from Chanel, Black Pearl featuring in each photograph.Given that this is a handbag line, we’re glad to see her dress is minimal black. It sets the perfect background to seriously show off these iconic bags.
The whole campaign is polished and, put simply, gorgeous.

MyBeautyBunny.com Review!

Prtty Peaushun Review

Prtty Peaushun Legs
Prtty Peaushun (pronounced “pretty potion”) is a PETA-approved, cruelty free, non-toxic, vegan product that tightens and firms skin, gives your skin a golden glow, eases sore muscles, and hides cellulite and hyperpigmentation. Do I have your attention now? I thought so.
I’m just starting to realize how wonderful self-tanners are (Beautisol is my current fave), but this product is not a self-tanner. In fact, you can use this OVER your self-tanner for additional coverage and for the skin nourishing and firming qualities. Think of it like invisible stockings – it’s perfect for smoothing on your legs before going out in a skirt or dress. You can also use it on your arms, midsection, even on your face! You get a nice, golden glow – not too dark and not too shimmery. The glow is from minerals – not DHA (self-tanner) – so it does wash off. You can get plain (no color) or find a color to suit your skin tone (I used medium and I am pretty fair).
Prtty Peaushun Package
Prtty Peaushun was created by celebrity makeup artists Bethany Karlyn. She has been using it for years on her clients, and has now decided to offer it to the public. Some of the celebs who love Prtty Peaushun are: Cate Blanchett, Debi Mazar, Tracy Anderson (she refuses to be photographed or filmed without it), JWoww (Jersey Shore), Pam Anderson, Serena Williams, Ann Hathaway, Rihanna, the list goes on and on.
The product comes in an eco-friendly pouch designed to take up minimal space in landfills. It also allows you to get every last drop (which you will want – trust me!). There are no animal ingredients and no animal testing. The formula contains 92% natural, raw ingredients such as avocado oil/butter, pomelo/grapefruit wax, jojoba gel, calendula flower (anti-inflammatory), green tea (good for skin and the caffeine tightens and firms), rosemary (antioxidant, reduces appearance of varicose veins and broken capillaries), arnica (anti-inflammatory, diminishes bruises) and blue vervain (reduces aches and pains due to exercise and stress).
So basically, I am in love with this product. The only thing I don’t like about it is the scent – it is actually unscented, so you smell the ingredients. The smell does dissipate – so don’t put it on right before you head out the door. I put a scented moisturizer or perfume over it (once it’s absorbed) and I’m good to go.

JWoww is taking a piece of the "Jersey Shore" to Indianapolis for a photo shoot to help launch her new indoor tanning lotion JWOWW Ultra Tanning Dark Bronzer by Australian Gold. We spoke exclusively with the tan and tone reality star regarding life after "Jersey Shore," relationships and of course, tanning.
Jenni "JWoww" Farley has re-teamed with Australian Gold after their success with JWOWW Black Bronzer, telling us, "I feel sexier when I tan. I feel more fit. I feel more healthy." She continues, "tanning is my lifestyle." Not content with just putting her name on anything, the 25-year-old "really wanted to be 100% hands on to the best of my ability...A lot of people will just put their name on anything and don't care either way as long as they get a check."
With the "Jersey" gang heading to Italy everyone is wondering what will become of her relationship with Roger Matthews, telling us it's "gonna make or break our relationship." Looking to life once the show has ended, JWoww is working on a possible pilot with her "Jersey" co-star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and maybe a future behind the camera. " I only like to be in front of the camera for so long, so I would love to do production. I would love to work on TV shows."
Executive Producer JWoww? Stay tuned.

QWeekend

The Weekly Review

Beauty scribe

It’s a bit like running a marathon. There are thousands of products from beauty companies on the starting line. But as the race goes on, one product forges ahead of the pack and stays there.
Why? Because it is simply the best, and no other product can do the same job as well or as effortlessly. Such a product is a clear winner in its individual category because it is so effective in solving one particular niche problem.
And then the name gets around by word of mouth or through various media. In little or no time a product can go from being discovered to being a new sensation and then becoming a classic.
These are one-of-a-kind products. Without the brouhaha and marketing frenzy usually associated with the beauty industry, they’ve fought to the top and they stay there.
The following are my current favourites. I have selected these products for their sheer ingenuity, fun, quirkiness and – of course – practicality. Have fun.
Sula Paint and Peel nail polishes (11ml, $14)
Sula, a Canadian company, started off as a purveyor of fragrances but over time released an innovative formulation for nail polishes that is not only divine but mind-boggling. You can paint on and peel off its non-toxic, water-based polishes without using a chemical remover at all. Paint as normal, avoid hot water for at least four hours and you’ll have an amazing set of nails.
Batiste Nude Dry Shampoo (50g, $14.95)
Batiste was one of the first to introduce affordable dry shampoo. The brand has now done one better by unveiling a dry shampoo for the eco-conscious, with zero volatile organic compounds. It is effective but gentle, hypoallergenic, 100?per cent natural formulation and fragrance free. Niftily packed in a squeezable bottle, the nozzle applicator makes application easy, plus you’ll notice a little goes a long way.
Prtty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion (236ml, $62)
Tricky spelling, simple pronunciation – pretty potion. I came across this product backstage in New York one year. I wanted something that would give the models luminescent skin and hide all nicks, scrapes and discolourations. Created by make-up artist Bethany Karlyn, the potion is a perfect tool for a flawless taut body. The cream is fragrance-free, 92 per cent natural and has no nasties. Sensible packaging, cruelty free, great colour range including colours for dark skin and endorsed by a plethora of celebrities – what more could you ask for?
Beauty Pod ($12.95)
You can’t tell the wonders the Beauty Pod will help you unlock just by looking at it. It is just a shaped piece of sponge to the untrained eye, but once you start using it you will not want to put it down. This new, well-priced foundation applicator is the solution to all your foundation-application woes. It gives excellent professional results and finish. The domed-shaped pod that, to me, resembles a curvaceous woman, is easy to handle when applying complexion products and it also saves you from using too much. Experts who have used it swear by it and say it is the best on the market, and I tend to agree.
I Love My Muff (from $26.95)
Yes, I know. I am not trying to be provocative or take the mickey, these are great products for feminine hygiene. The products are handmade in Canada using the finest natural ingredients and beneficial essential oils to help maintain and look after the nether regions. This line is the ultimate in eco-chic, right down to the packaging, vegan formulations and recyclable PET bottles. Men, hold your horses – the company is now busy test-driving the men’s range, called I Love My Muffler.
Philip Kingsley Swim Cap (150ml, £18.40 about $30)
I am obsessed with Philip Kingsley products. Known worldwide as the hair doctor, he totally lives up to his reputation. For me, the top pick is the Swim Cap, a hair conditioner that guards against discolouration and damage caused by sun, chlorine, salt water and wind. It also provides a superb conditioning treatment for all hair types. Sadly, it is not available in Australia, but you can buy it direct from his UK website, with the addition of a reasonable postage fee.

The find
Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Temporary Face Tightener (100ml, $61.95)
I know there are a few of these instant firming gels on the market but I must say this is one of the best. It is cosmetic and literally erases creases and grooves and fills up pores before your very eyes. Your face will feel taut for approximately one to three minutes following application. Do not panic. This means it is working. Once you’ve had your fun for the day, just rinse it off. Cost-effective and painless – just brilliant.
The spot
Prevage Eye Advanced Anti-aging Serum ($165) and Eye Ultra Protection Anti-aging Moisturizer SPF 15 ($150)
These two products are new to the Prevage line up. I am a fan of the Prevage range with its use of Idebenone (an organic compound of the quinone family) and published proven medical results. The serum is light to touch, goes on effortlessly and reduces puffiness, dark circles, the look of age spots, discolorations and sun damaged skin. It also supports the skin’s natural collagen to help give eyes a firmer, more lifted look. The moisturiser delivers hydration, neutralise free radicals that can cause ageing signs and with continued use, helps prevent future ageing signs. These are the new power packed duo in eye care.

Quick bites: smokin', Bergdorf tweets, McQueen for a Queen-to-be, Golden Crunch Cake & a Prtty must-have

Our look of the week? Kate Moss’ skulking, red hot walk for Vuitton.  Smokin… huff
Nobody does social media quite like Bergdorf Goodman. Fifth Avenue’s bastion of luxury has Tweeted approximately 27 times since the day began, and it’s a safe bet that we’ll see another 27 tweets before the day ends. This morning’s topics included beauty tips from Alex Chantecaille, dapper ensembles spotted in the office fire drill, and the difficulty of walking in a tight maxi skirt when you’re also wearing wedges.  Riveting stuff… racked
Following speculation that Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton is tapped to design Kate Middleton’s wedding dress, the new collection revealed a spring wardrobe fit for Marie Antoinette, if not Kate Middleton. wsj
This weekend, we are feeling Golden Crunch Cake; a tantalising textural toffee and nut top layer that gives way to a subtle, soft white cake that is perfectly rich and begs to be Sunday afternoon tea. notwithout salt
Fitness goddess Tracy Anderson refuses to be photographed without it. Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sade swear by it and Cate Blanchett worships it as the perfect highlighting tool.  Prrty Peaushun Skin Tight Body Lotion is a must people! We are obsessed with it.  If you are Stateside click here or in Australia, buy exclusively at www.beautyworkswest.com.au  Prtty FFFabulous!
