Safe Ingredients = Safe Cosmetics

There's nothing more important than having good health. But did you know that the cosmetics and skincare products you put on your face and body can cause harm in the future? The latest topic is Anti-Parabens and research has even shown that Parabens do cause cancer and are harmful.  But its not just parabens that are harmful.  Triclosan is another harmful ingredient found in all anti-bacterial soaps and can lower the immune system causing you to be far more susceptible to illness...and when I say illness, I'm not just talking about the common cold....I'm talking about cancer too.  Unfortunately, the list goes on and on...and its a long one.  It really makes me question what our government is doing to protect US! Obviously not enough....so what should you, the consumer, do when everything is loaded with harmful ingredients?

Start small! Try to make small changes daily, weekly, or monthly. Any small change helps. Check out the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Database. There you can type in the brand or name of your favorite beauty product and the database will rate the product on a scale of 1-10....also telling you how safe or how hazardous the product is.
