TIP TUESDAY: Puffy Peepers

As we head into the holiday season, lack of sleep, alcohol
and all sorts of merry madness can take a toll on your appearance. This week's tip from Bethany Karlyn, PRTTY PEAUSHUN creator and celebrity makeup artist, will help you avoid one of the tell-tale signs of the above over-exertion: puffy eyes.

Prevention is the best medicine. In order to avoid these bothersome bags, steer clear (as must as possible) of salt and alcohol and drink lots of water. Caffeine is a natural diuretic, but let's be real, nixing the stuff all together isn't an option for most, so make the healthiest choice and have a cup of green tea.

If puffiness has already made its place under your eyes there are a few solutions to tone it down. Those green teabags are an anti inflammatory as well, so chill them and slap ‘em on your peepers. Also, chilling you’re favorite eye gel mask or under eye patches will give a cooling, soothing and deflating effect. Chamomile teabags will also do the trick as will good old fashioned cucumber slices.

Unfortunately - sometimes puffy peepers are inevitable. Luckily, makeup can mask like no other. TIP: Make sure your concealer matches your skin tone. Light advances, dark recedes. Too light and your puffy eyes will look like a blowfish.
